Traveling to Consensus 2024

This week we are headed to Austin, Texas to capture Consensus 2024 with ARSENAL Advisers. Many people do not understand how much work it is to bring all your proper gear. We have all heard clients say, "Its just a couple days, you don't need to bring that much with you." But its never that easy!
We had to repack 3 times because we realized that it would not fit in one bag. We have to bring 3 bags minimum. Lights, stands, tripods, gimbals, sound equipment, batteries, chargers, computers, external SSDs, and much more. We almost forgot our clothes because we did not have enough room.
The Neewer Wheeled Studio Bag is VERY affordable (about $210) and it holds a massive amounts of gear. We do NOT put any lens and camera bodies in this bag. We also leave half of our sound gear in the carry on. We will not check anything that is super important for the shoot. We all know airlines can lose check in bags. Update that insurance :)
The second bag, SKB iSeries 2015-10 Case with Think Tank Photo Dividers & Lid Organizer is a great cary on case! It is a hard top case with a massive amount of protection. Another advantage is that it is extremely light, even with all the equipment inside. Put all of the expensive equipment in this case since you are caring it with you. This is something that you will not take into the conference.
Lastly, We are taking the Think Tank Photo StreetWalker HardDrive V2.0 Backpack. This is what we will be taking into the conference. We will wear this with all my lenses and cameras we want to swap. We will have our gimbal and light attached to the hand-held gimbal. It is light weight and an easy run and gun solution.
When needing more of a set up production, we can head back to the hotel and re-adjust our equipment mix. We will blog more behind the scenes during and after the trip!
